MM1 : ROOTS
Our first Music Messaging mix takes you through the roots of Afro-diasporic music, from the revolutionary rumba of the Congo and Cuba, to the Angolan and Nigerian influenced house, techno and Afro-bashment.
MM2 : RESILIENCE
Our second Music Messaging mix reflects the turbulence of a year full of transitions. It opens with police sirens and marching tempos and closes with a melancholic downtempo reminding us that, although the future is uncertain, our resilience is what allowed us to get this far.
MM3 : FEMMES
Our third Music Messaging mix celebrates Afro-diasporic women, the embodiment of intersectionality. Women who put their heart and soul into their work. Women who chant for their freedom. Women who command a crowd with their voice, both as solo acts and in solidarity. This energetic mix features garage, Afro-house, R&B and soulful salsa artists, so replenish your soul with some divine feminine energy.
